The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) works as an assessment body for selection of personnel for various organisations. It provides its service to all Public Sector Banks, SBI, RBI, NABARD and IDBI which are its regular members. It also provides services to RRB, SIDBI various other Public Sector Undertakings and Government Departments. During 2022-23, a total of 87.60 lakh candidates registered for different IBPS Examinations. The number indicates that more and more candidates are getting attracted towards Bank Sector job opportunities.
The participation of candidates through IBPS exams remains majorly for the two exams- Probationary Officer (PO) and Clerk. Although a good number of participations is viewed for other posts such as Specialist Officer in various Regional Rural Banks, LIC and general Insurance Companies etc.

IBPS PO Interview
The IBPS interview is conducted for those who clear the Bank PO Mains exam.
As per the IBPS PO Exam pattern, the interview carries 100 marks.
The candidates have to secure at least 40 marks in the interview to be considered for the merit list, irrespective of their score in other stages of the exam.
According to the IBPS PO Exam pattern, candidates belonging to the weaker sections of society, are awarded a concession of 5 marks in IBPS PO Interview.
